This Camp is open to all Troop members of those Troops associated with AJ Troop 0617. The camp will be held at the picturesque campsite (on the beach) at Glenrock and will be essentially a light weight camp. We will be bringing dining, cooking equipment in by car, however the Scouts and some leaders will be hiking in along Newcastle beach (about 7km). This hike will commence at Newcastle railway at about 7:30pm and will conclude in the dark, so please have a torch packed at the top of your packs.
Because we are travelling by public transport, FULL SCOUT UNIFORM is to be worn to and from the camp. Once at camp, camp uniform will be the dress. Those members of Troop 0617 should bring their Troop T-Shirt. Please make sure you read the information on the website link.
Anyone wanting to bring tents or boogie boards to 1st Winston Hills hall next Thursday (25th Feb) can get them taken to the camp by car. Otherwise you will have to carry all your stuff with you. All the food will be organized and taken by car to the camp.
Anyone who has difficulty meeting the Epping departure time of 5pm can pick up the train at Hornsby at 5:15pm (Train leaves at 5:22pm). There may be some seats in the parents cars that are taking the food and gear up, however, you will need to let me know in advance if you require this transport option.
Pick up will be at Epping Station on Sunday afternoon.
